The MCGS sisterhood is a vibrant community that organises engaging activities throughout the year ranging from reunions to networking dinners and seasonal celebrations. MGAA hosts three flagship initiatives in a year—the Igniting Minds forum, the Mayo Marketplace, and its Annual General Meeting. 

Igniting Minds

MGAA works closely with MCGS to host its first ever flagship event — Igniting Minds — aimed at imparting the current school students with the necessary skills and professional knowledge to make an informed decision about their future careers. Igniting Minds attracts a vast array of professional speakers to host workshops, participate in panel discussions, and fireside chats for the benefit of MCGS’ students. Igniting Minds has had the privilege of hosting distinguished alumni speakers pursuing a diverse range of careers from law, entrepreneurship, journalism, psychology, art, administrative services, management consulting, marketing, photography, hospitality, academia, etc. These professionals bring their expertise and experiences to inspire and guide the students, showcasing the vast range of possibilities and opportunities available to them. Through Igniting Minds, MGAA and MCGS strive to create a platform that nurtures the aspirations of the students, empowering them with the necessary tools and insights to embark on their professional journey with confidence and clarity.
